Renewable energy can help reduce your heating and electricity bills and at the same time earn extra money through a range of incentives for forward-thinking homeowners. Under the Government’s Feed-in-Tariff, you get paid for every unit of electricity you generate and any surplus can be sold back to the National Grid. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) supports the decarbonisation of heat in buildings. It provides upfront capital grants to support the installation of heat pumps. £5000 off the cost and installation of an air source heat pump.
